In December of 2008 I was diagnosed with Non-smokers Lung Cancer. This site is for me, my family, friends and whoever might be interested in the healing path of someone with cancer.
My cancer is called specifically Bronchioloalvolar Cell Carcinoma (BAC) a type of non-small cell lung cancer. Almost as soon as I was diagnosed I began searching, with the help of my family and friends, for ways to get myself better. I am using traditional treatments such as chemotherapy but I believe I must find other complementary ways of healing.
In August 2008 I celebrated my fiftieth birthday with a few girl friends. Whether through the “skill” of the photographer or just the weird mood of the day I had this funky picture taken of me. Sometimes having cancer feels a little like I look in this picture. I had cancer on this day but I didn’t know it. Now I know and I’m busy trying to do something about it. I’m a little shaky at times but I’m smiling and trying to stay positive.
All parties in the cancer arena do seem to agree that a positive attitude is ever so helpful in getting the cancer under control.
I would be delighted to join your site. Thanks. carole
Thanks for the invitation. What a wonderful way to keep us up to date.
And I’m sure we’ll all learn a lot.
